Bringing in the New Year 😻🙋😘😎😏

I have heard lots of friends say that 2016 was a rough and terrible year and if 2016 was a person, it would have looked something a little like... this...😂😂😂😂.  However, quite sadly, I cannot relate.

To me 2016 has been one of the most prosperous of many years for me; for that, I am eternally grateful.  At the beginning of 2016, I began the new year with a different perspective.  I wanted a change that I so desperately needed.  Many times, as I began the year, I had a long list of resolutions that I never seemed to accomplish.
I wanted to exercise more, spend less time worrying about things I couldn't change, fix my attitude towards many of the situations I encountered and make my family proud by getting the best grades I could achieve for the new year and the new semester. I desperately wanted a lot of changes. But I eventually realized that I failed to make the necessary steps I needed to make these resolutions a reality, and that, my friends, is where we fall short at the beginning of the year.  It wasn't long until I was left saying, "Maybe I'll just do this in 2017."

Consider this, you want to build a house: you get your architectural design from a certified draftsman or architect.  You have your plot of land and of course the money.  But where are your workmen with their tools to get the job done? You have the plans but how are you going to implement them?  This is the same thing that happens to us when new resolutions are made - no wonder they fall through right?

2017 has arrived as a clean sheet of paper that you will write on; it is a new chapter where you are the author to this book.  You have the opportunity to take another go at the opportunities you may have missed in 2016 and years prior. You have the chance to try and try again until you have accomplished whatsoever you have placed your hands to.  You have the ability to do anything! Don't give up! Keep pushing until something great happens.  Dig deep within yourself and reach for your greatest potential this year.

Have a bright and prosperous 2017 everyone!
